WHAT IS A PHOTO ADVENTURE?
Photo adventure = Photography workshop + travel
Travel, learn and create! There is no better way to learn how to create beautiful and engaging photos than practicing in the field. These photo workshops are suited for beginners, amateurs, enthusiasts and even semi professionals who are interested in traveling, exploring and photographing in a fun international group.
You will learn how to find good photo opportunities, how to search for and photograph in different lightning conditions, how to photograph locals etc… My goal is as always to raise your awareness about the surroundings and spark your creativity so that you not only go home with photographs to be proud of, but to also use your new skills to improve and expand your photographic skills.
Apart from the technical aspect of learning camera settings, you will learn how to turn an ordinary photo into an extraordinary one by using your own creativity and a few simple compositional technics.
Our photographic adventure would not be complete without discussing our photography workflow and post-processing ideas and techniques.
This is not going to be one of those luxury vacations where you are brought with a taxi to all the touristic spots and shown at what direction to point your camera. We will wake up early, explore the small streets, mix with the crowds, engage with the local people, search for amazing photo opportunities and discuss the results.
This are small group adventures – minimum 3 and maximum 6 people.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT BY ATTENDING ONE OF THESE PHOTO ADVENTURES?
Besides great company and amazing photo locations, expect to go home with a better knowledge of how to create great photographs.
A TYPICAL PHOTO ADVENTURE DAY
We wake up early for a morning photo walk or sunrise shoot that will be followed by breakfast and some additional shooting. Midday is usually reserved for rest, editing or travel, unless we decide to explore more. Late afternoon and evening we focus again on photographing using the soft sunset light during the “golden hour” and the “blue hour”. And depending on interest and location, we can venture out at night for some night photography. I will try to keep in mind that you are also on vacation, and that you may never again return, so we will try to maximise the photographic opportunities.
