This will be a 12 day photography adventure to one of the most beautiful parts of the world. Rajasthan is definitely the jewel in India’s crown. From cities of pink, blue and gold to lakeside palaces and desert villages filled with fairy-tale palaces and epic forts.

The reason why Rajasthan remains one of the most popular destinations in India lies in its rich diversity: from the barren Thar Desert and it’s amazing sunsets, the beautiful blue and pink cities to the tranquil majesty of the city of lakes – Udaipur. Rajasthan truly has it all!

Following in the foot steps of the amazing Steve McCurry, our adventure will start from the capital – New Delhi from where we will take a plane to the blue city – Jodhpur.

In Jodhpur we will spend four days exploring the streets, old markets and the majestic Mehrangarh fort overlooking the city. We will get up early to photograph the city bathed in the amazing morning light and photograph it from above at sunset.

From Jodhpur we will hire a taxi to reach the amazing city of lakes – Udaipur. For three days we will explore this amazing city and its lake palaces. Optionally we will make a day trip to see the old fort in Chittorgarh.

From Udaipur we will take a train to Bundi and visit the amazing step wells that are spread trough out the city. This town is off the regular tourist routes and we will be able to explore the normal daily life of its citizens without the usual craziness, so typical for most Indian cities.

Bundi is our last stop and from there we are taking an overnight train to go back to New Delhi and then a plane back home.

This is not going to be one of those luxury vacations where you are brought with a taxi to all the touristic spots and shown at what direction to point your camera. We will wake up early, explore the small streets, mix with the crowds, engage with the local people, search for amazing photo opportunities and shoot the sunset.

On this photography adventure you will:

  • Experience firsthand the process of finding and creating a great photo
  • Learn how to create great photos by using helpful compositional tips
  • Learn how to use the available light to create engaging and beautiful images
  • Train your eye to spot photographic opportunities
  • Learn how to approach photographing street portraits and overcome your fear of engaging people on the street
  • Practice and develop your unique photographic vision
  • Immerse yourself in the amazing colourful life in Rajasthan, try the local cuisine, interact with fellow photographers and be inspired from the mind blowing surroundings 🙂
I will give personalised advice and feedback to all attendants and will help you go back home with some amazing photos!
